Cleanskins Galore.... and more MAY 2010
Dear Wine Lover,
We have a new range of quality varietal wines to offer you this month, which have been heavily discounted due to some winery overstocks and deletions.
They all come from well known and highly regarded makers from across many different South Australian wine regions.
First up is the Bareskin Chardonnay, made by Reilly¹s Wines in the Clare Valley. We have a few cases of this excellent Watervale Chardonnay with a basic label affixed, but the rest of the stock we have on hold and will be unlabelled. Either way, the wine is the same and is drinking very nicely. Or if you prefer a slightly lighter style white wine, we have also sourced a 2009 Currency Creek Sauvignon Blanc which shows fresh tropical fruit flavours and is best served well chilled.
For those of you who like a light red style, there is also a crisp,dry Sangiovese Rose¹ from the same region... ..
we have not had one of these in our range for quite a while, but this also punches well above its weight for the price.
In the red wine department, we have more stocks available of the Clare Valley Shiraz that we introduced in the last newsletter. This one shows sweet stewed fruit flavours and light oak, and we have now added a meduim bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and a softer style Merlot to the list. They are all drinking very nicely, and are well priced at $89 dozen plus any applicable delivery charges (Free delivery for 3 dozen or more within Adelaide metro, with reduced freight charges elsewhere)
There are also a very few cases of an unlabelled 2006 Limestone Coast Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, which was made by Stonehaven Vineyards just outside of Padthaway. This shows ripe black fruit characters with balanced oak, and over delivers at this special price of $132 dozen. Naked Run The Aldo is also priced to clear at $132 dozen (was $179) This is a Grenache/ Shiraz Blend made from old Barossa Valley vines, and is exceptional value at this price. We also have a very few cases of their 2007 BWC Shiraz in stock which is a full bodied traditional style Barossa Shiraz and will cellar well for a few years if required.
Excellent drinking....was $234 and now reduced to $199 dozen.

Brands Laira Cabernet Merlot 2007 is a highly awarded red blend from the Coonawarra, and we have a few cases only on hand reduced to only $199 dozen.

Cape Thomas Bosuns Blend¹ Limestone Coast Shiraz Cabernet 2005...Last remaining stocks of this Limestone Coast blend, which has a Trophy from the National Cool Climate Wine Show and also scored a Gold Medal at the Small Winemakers Show..... still at $118 dozen.
Reilly¹s Barking Mad¹ Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2008....Great buying at only $118 dozen.
Need some good value sparkling wines in the rack? We still have stocks of the Hardys Omni range at the special price of $95 dozen; including the Classic NV which was recently awarded a Gold Medal at the Rutherglen Wine Show. Also on hand is the Omni Blue Label (a sweeter, fruity style) Omni Red (cranberry flavour) Pink (sparkling rose¹) and the Green Label, which has a citrus tang to it. They come packaged in cases of 6, and you can mix two different styles to make up the full dozen if you wish.

the Premium Wine Dozens contain mainly medal winners from our recent Wine Show selections; whilst the new batch of Rats and Mice will include some leftover wines from our various wine programs as well as some new specials from our affiliated retail store at O¹ Sullivan Beach. As always, some will be well known labels (such as Jamiesons Run, Wolf Blass, McGuigan, Annies Lane etc) and others from smaller wineries, which will give you the chance to try some of the wines we have tasted and enjoyed over the last few months.
Finally, there are also stocks available of the McWilliams Select Series range, which we introduced to you last year. Due to their popularity we have now adopted them as our regular wine club Œhouse wine¹, as they are all excellent quality quaffers which have generally only been available in restaurants and function centres.... all varieties are only $89 dozen.
