WINE CLUB DOZEN - ALL WHITES

Price: $187.00

With Easter on the way it's time to stock up the wine rack again. In keeping with this theme, we have resurrected a very popular selection of medal winners from selected wine shows. The results from the Royal Sydney Wine Show and Sydney International Wine Competition were both recently released, and we have combed through the results... some of the wines we have picked you will already be familiar with as they have also won medals in previous shows (such as the 2009 Crabtree Riesling and 2008 Penfolds Thomas Hyland Chardonnay, which were awarded Gold Medals and Trophies in both Sydney and Adelaide) and we have also introduced a couple of new wineries to the list.

Here are the wines we have chosen for this new mix: 2 BOTTLES OF EACH

Catching Thieves Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2009... This very popular Margaret River blend from our Adelaide Show mix just collected a Blue Gold /Top 100 pick at the Sydney International Wine Challenge. Schild Estate Unwooded Chardonnay 2008.

Schild Estate Unwooded Chardonnay 2009.. Schild Estate are one of the largest independent premium grape growers in the Barossa Valley region, with over 400 acres under vine at the southern end of the Barossa Valley, and the previous vintage of this crisp Chardonnay was also awarded a Gold Medal at the Hobart Wine Show

Sevenhill Riesling 2009. Sevenhill Cellars are one of the oldest wineries and always a popular place to visit on any trip to the Clare Valley. This is an excellent Clare Valley Riesling which shows delicate citrus flavours balanced with mineral acidity . This wine has been highly sought after due to  a previous vintage collecting a trophy and was included in our Adelaide Wine Show Dozen in 2006. This new release has a Bronze Medal in Sydney.

McGuigan Bin 9000 Semillon 2007...McGuigan Wines were recently awarded Winemaker of the Year and have collected a Gold Medal for this vintage of their ever consistent Semillon.

Montana Sauvignon Blanc 2009... The NZ winery that kicked off the Marlborough Sauv Blanc phenomenon in Australia needs no introduction... now a Blue Gold at Sydney International Wine Show.

Penfolds Thomas Hyland Chardonnay 2008....A blend of premium Chardonnay from cooler climate vineyards, this exceptional Trophy winner has just collected another Gold Medal in Sydney.
